Important Updates: Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) Under the Department of Technical Education Govt. of Haryana opens a window to the students of Delhi Board who have been waiting for their Diploma final year result, those candidates now get provisionally B.Tech Lateral Admission 2020 in Haryana State. Though, the State government has decided to grant Delhi Board students provisionally for the B.Tech Lateral admission 2020 -2021 in Private / Government / Government aided Institutes and Colleges in Haryana.

Perquisites

Government Haryana Engineering Colleges / Private Institution do offer undergraduate level B. Tech programs admission to only the applicant who has been completed successfully Diploma in Engineering from AICTE approved and affiliated to any State Technical Board with minimum 45% marks. However, 5% marks relaxation given for the reserved category. Knowing the facts, probably you've understood that to B.Tech Lateral admission any applicant must have Diploma in Engineering.

Selection Process

The admissions selection process relies on conferred norms, since B.E./ B.Tech. (LEET) admission shall be made only through four online off-campus counseling and it is not avoidable. To understand more, check out the following options. For 1st and 2nd Online-Off-Campus Counseling, Admissions shall be made on the basis of the rank/inter se merit of Online Entrance Test (OLET) to be conducted for B.E./ B.Tech. LEET 2020 by HSTES as dates have scheduled for the session 2020-21. The aspirants wanting to participate in 3rd and 4th Online-Off-Campus Counseling, they are required to register through online on the official website i.e. www.onlinetesthry.gov.in as per the released Dates and admissions shall be given on the basis of the rank to be ready up by the HSTES on the basis of percentage of the qualifying exam, without any reservation (there will be no reservation in 3rd and 4th counseling except KM and TFW). Applicant properly needs to get all the documents verified during applying the forms, the rank will be prepared for those who had filled the form correctly on www.onlinetesthry.gov.in and had received verified documents.

B.Tech Lateral Eligibility Criterion in Haryana

Below mentioned the criteria you should meet for admission to 2^nd year (3rd Semester) of B.E./B.Tech. Courses - Check the following Minimum academic qualifications for admission to 2^nd year (3rd Semester) of B.E./B.Tech Courses:

1. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in aggregate in Diploma in Engineering/ Technology of a duration of 3 years or more from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.
2. Passed B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
3. Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first-year engineering program along with the second year subjects.
4. Provided further that, the students belonging to B.Sc. stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
5. Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.
6. In the above cases, suitable bridge Courses, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted.
7. For Kashmiri Migrants (KM) relaxation in cut-off percentage up to 10% subject to the minimum eligibility requirement.

As per AICTE, seats in the lateral entry may be taken up to a maximum of 10% of sanctioned intake. Basis of Admission:

• During 1st & 2nd, Online-Off-Campus Counseling Admissions shall be made on the basis of the rank/inter se merit of Online Entrance Test (OLET) for B.E./ B.Tech (LEET)-2019 conducted online by HSTES.
• During 3rd & 4th Counseling, Admissions shall be made on the basis of the rank to be prepared by HSTES on the basis of percentage of qualifying examination without any reservation (except KM/TFW/EWS). During 3rd & 4th Counseling, the following criteria will be followed to break-up the tie if two candidates secure the same percentage of marks in qualifying Examination:

1. Firstly, the candidate who has secured distinction marks in the aggregate of the10th exam will be considered as top rankers in the merit list.
2. Then, age does really impact on merit list evaluation; let's know through an example suppose Rama is elder in age among other applicants will be considered in a higher rank in order of merit.
3. After that, the rank shall be higher in order of merit on the alphabet basis.

Note:

• Candidates with Diploma in Architecture are eligible to seek admission under Lateral Entry Program only for B.E/ B.Tech. Civil Engineering

Syllabus for Exam

Scheme of Entrance Test for B.E./B.Tech (LEET)-2019 Maximum Marks: 90 There will be one Question Paper of 90 minutes duration in the following:- Section: a Questions: 1 to 25 Subject: Basic Sciences Maximum Marks: 25

Section: b Questions: 26 to 50 Subject: Electronics Stream Courses Maximum Marks: 25

Section: c Questions: 51 to 70 Subject: Mechanical Stream Courses Maximum Marks: 20

Section: d Questions: 71 to 90 Subject: Other Engineering Streams Maximum Marks: 20

Note:

• Only objective type multiple-choice questions in English with four answers having only one correct answer will be asked in the Entrance Test.
• There will be NO Negative Marking.
