About Us

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is often known as IITB or IIT Bombay is a public engineering institution located at Powai, Mumbai, India.  IIT-B was established in 1958. The campus of the institute is expanded in almost 550 acres.  In the initial stage, first batch was started with 100 students in the year 1958. Proudly, the institute is famed across the world as leader in the field of engineering / technology education, and research.

Talking about IIT latest rank, then in the recent ranking released by the NIRF, IIT Bombay have been bagged 2nd position among all IITs and NITs.
