Wrestler Sakshi became new brand ambassador of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign

New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday announced the name of India’s 23-years-old girl Sakshi Malik as the new ambassador for the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (teach the girl, save the girl) campaign.
Wrestler Malik from India’s Haryana state won the first Bronze medal in RIO Olympic 2016. She is first Indian woman wrestler. After winning the Bronze medal by Sakshi, CM Khattar congratulated Sakshi. Khattar also rewarded a cheque of Rs 2.5 crore to Sakshi. Sakshi Malik thanked all her fans for the supporting. Wrestler Malik , arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday where she was welcomed by ministers. Haryana’s Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij, who was present in Rio as head of state delegation, accompanied the 23-year-old wrestler Malik on her return flight.
