Union Minister Prakash Javedkar announces NEET, JEE exams twice a year

NEW DELHI: Union Minister Prakash Javedkar on July 7, Saturday has announced that
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET),
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and
National Eligibility Test (NET) which are organized by the
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), now will be conducted by
National Testing Agency (NTE) twice a year in the month of February and May.
There is a best opportunity for those students who want to appear for NEET exam as they can take part in the exam twice every year (May and February) now and the best score will be considered for admission , Javedkar added.
National Eligibility Test (NET) will be held in the month of December that confirms eligibility for college and university level lecturership.
While, JEE (Mains), for admission to various undergraduate
engineering and architecture courses, will be held in the month of January and April every year.
These tests would be conducted on the computer base in the period of four or five days and the students would be provided options to opt the exam dates, he said.
The syllabus, question formats, language and fees for the exams would not be changed, he said.
Any type of information relevant to exams which will be conducted by NTA would be uploaded by the ministry ' s website.
