More and more entry level smartphones are being launched by numerous domestic manufacturers. But Xolo recently launched its Era 1X smartphone with acceptable budget including best specification Priced at Rs 4,999. The front is largely dominated by a 5-inch HD display of 720x1280 pixel resolution, surrounded by thick bezels. While the 5MP selfie camera and the earpiece lie above the screen, the navigation keys are at the bottom edge. Flip the device to its back and you ' ll see an 8MP primary camera with LED flash on the top left, Xolo branding in the centre and the speaker at the bottom. Two SIM slots, a microSD card slot and a 2,500mAh battery sit behind the back panel. Camera Features: During our testing, the 8MP primary camera of the Xolo Era 1X managed to take quite good images in well-lit conditions. The images had good colour reproduction as well. That said, low light images came out with quite a bit of noise and pixelation in them. As for the 5MP selfie camera, we found it to be sufficiently good. Turning on the beauty feature helped in making things better a bit more. Xolo Era 1X smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is nearly-stock when it comes to overall UI experience. We would say that the Era 1X is good for first-time users who are switching from feature phones. But for those who want a little more for the price, there are better alternatives like Intex Aqua HD 5.5 and Coolpad Note 3 Lite available out there.
