Musician AR Rahman has reacted powerfully to a Fatwa issued against him for working on celebrated Iranian film producer Majid Majidi’s film on Prophet Muhammad saying he composed music for the film “in honesty and with no intention of inflicting offence”.
“I did not direct or manufacture the movie picture Muhammad: Meseanger of God. I simply did the music. My spiritual experiences of working on the film are very personal and I would prefer not to share these,”
A Fatwa was issued against musician AR Rahman and film producer Majid Majidi for his or her film Muhammad: Messsenger of God.
The Fatwa was issued last week against Rahman and Majidi for acting on the film on Prophet Muhammad by Mumbai-based Sunnite group, Raza Academy.
“I am not a scholar of Islam. I follow the middle path and am part ancient and half rationalist. I board the Western and japanese worlds and take a look at to like all folks for what they’re, while not deciding them,” aforementioned the double Grammy winner.
