NEW DELHI: Baisakhi as a harvest festival is celebrated on April 13-14. it is a harvest festival that marks the beginning of solar year. it is celebrated across the Northern India in which Punjab is renowned for this festival. It is celebrated every year by the farmers on the occasion of acquiring good harvest and also thank to God for a good harvest. The festival is celebrated by people with curiosity. People visit gurudwaras, and participate in traditional performances.
Particularly, The festival is excessive importance for Sikhs communities because on 1699, tenth Guru Gobind Singh had ordered of Khalsa across the world to celebrates this festival. The traditional performances include bhangra by men and gidda by women.
