Bihar CM Nitish Kumar resigns today, Bihar assembly to be dissolved

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday resigns and submitted his resignation to Governor of Bihar Ramnath Kovind after the cabinet decided to recommend the dissolution of the outgoing assembly.
According to official report, "Nitish Kumar met the governor Ramnath Kovind and submitted his resignation to him and informed about the cabinet decision" The governor accepted the resignation and requested Nitish Kumar to continue as caretaker chief minister till a new government is formed. Nitish Kumar, who led the Mahagathbandhan to a victory with a huge seats in the assembly elections, will claim to make a new government after a joint meeting of his party, the RJD and the Congress later on Saturday. Newly legislators who have won the assembly election  and Bihar ' s ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U) will elect Nitish Kumar as the leader of the legislature party. He will then be elected leader of the legislature party of the Grand Alliance.
