Siddhidatri festival, the last nine form of Maa Durga on Friday worshipped by devotees across the India. In a huge numbers of devotees, celebrate this festival with a huge passion.
During prayer to Maa Siddhidatri, devotees have been seen in large number at the Durga temple to demanding bless as good health, happily life and prosperity. This year the Siddhidatri festival has commenced on 29 September, Friday.
Siddhi means supernatural power or meditative ability, and Dhatri means the one blesses or gives that power. After worshipping the nine forms of Maa Shakti, the tenth day will be celebrated as Vijayadashami or Dussehra on September 30.Devi seated on a huge, fully-bloomed lotus and rides a lion. Maa Siddhidatri has four-armed, holding Gada and Sudarshana Chakra in her right hands while a lotus and Shankh in her left hands.
Maa Siddhidatri is the Goddess who possesses and bestows all type of Siddhis (Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakambya, Ishitva and Vashitva) to her devotees.It is believed that even Lord Shiva got all Siddhis by her grace. Lord Shiva got the title of Ardhanarishvara after Goddess Siddhidatri appeared from his left half.
