NEW DELHI: IIM Bangalore on Monday announced the results of Common Admission Test 2016. The test was conducted on 4 December 2016 in two sessions for admission to various management programmes of IIMs.
The registrations for the Common Admission Test to IIM and other leading B-schools have shot up to a seven-year high, with 2,32,434 applications received for CAT 2016 as against 2,18,664 registrations for the test. The Common Admission Test results have been declared on official website, iimcat.ac.in which examination was conducted on 4 December 2016 in two separate sessions, as Slot 1 and Slot 2.
Slot 1: This slot was quite anticipated and no major surprises were expected. The IIMs have stuck to the same pattern as the one seen in 2015 both in terms of the number of questions in each section and in terms of the difficulty level of the sections.
Slot 2: This slot was similar to slot 1 examination in terms of the number of questions and the difficulty level of the sections. Although, some aspirants who were appeared in the exam, reported problems in a few mathematical symbols which were not being displayed correctly.
Students wasted a lot of time due to these problems. Significantly, this issue seems to have impacted a few test takers in the forenoon slot as well.

- Enter user ID and password
- Results displayed on the screen
- Printout for future reference
