About Us

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research an autonomous institute also known as short name NIPER is the premier and the best national level institute in India which is a part of the seven schools in India’s public Pharmacy research university.  It was founded in the year 1998 located at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, (Mohali) Punjab and that time the government of India has declared it as an 'Institute of National Importance'.  The institute, sprawling with an area of 130 acres of land is conducted under the mentorship of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). 

Especially, NIPER is identified as the world-class education which provides 2-year flagship postgraduate programs in the field of Pharmaceutical Science like Engineering and Management; along with doctoral programs in Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018, the institute has ranked 1st Position among Pharmacy Colleges in India.

Admission Procedure

Admission to students of all categories is based on the NIPER JEE scores the exam is conducted by the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER). Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Written Ability Test are also comprised for final admission.

Eligibility

The candidates should have minimum 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam. While a minimum 55 % marks is mandatory for SC/ST candidates.
