About Us

Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Udupi is popularly known as MCOPS which was set up by founder Late Dr. TMA Pai of self-financed in the year 1963 by offering diploma in pharmacy (D. Pharm) education at Udipi, Manipal, Karnataka. The college was started with Diploma in pharmacy program which later became a degree college for a bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) program in 1965.  The campus of the MCOPS is sprawling with an area of 188 acres of land.

After all, MCOPS is one of the premier colleges which has offered post-graduate program (MPharm) in Karnataka in 1970 and the doctor of pharmacy (Pharm. D) program in 2008 in India.

Thereby, MCOPS has been added new courses consistently along with rapid improvement in the field of education.    Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences provides courses in undergraduate, postgraduate and super specialty.

Manipal was previously part of the Shivalli village panchayat which is part of Udupi city now. Manipal was once a barren hill with few trees that was converted to a university town by Dr. T. M. A. Pai. The college has placed rank 1st among private pharmacy institutions in the country, Research Publications by private universities in India and Top Private Universities in India.

Admission Procedure

Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences accepts admission to students on the basis of the MET test that depends on the student's performance. Students are shortlisted in the entrance test for the further process.

After completion of entrance test, they are called for personal interview, group discussion, and written test. Applications are invited for all UG & PG programs by online mode.

Eligibility

Pass in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and English with Mathematics / Biology as optional subjects from a recognized Board, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.
