About Us

Jagadguru Sri Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamjigalavaru became a president of JSS Mahavidyapeetha in 1954 and later, the JSS College of Pharmacy was founded in the year 1973 with the inspiration of Sri Swamiji. JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore is a renowned constituent college of JSS University, Mysore which has been declared as Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University, Mysore, Karnataka.

JSS College was set up with mission and vision to provide high-quality education, training and research focused on lifelong learning. The college endeavors to provide perfect education to its students in the field of pharmacy.  The Pharm. D. The program has been certified by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), USA. However, the college has become 10th Top Pharmacy College in the country for Pharmacy Courses.

Programs Available

JSS College offers various courses in the field of pharmacy like under Graduate and Post Graduate. Post Graduate Diploma and certificate courses are offered to the students as an add-on to the regular programs. The institution offers B. Pharm (4 years), Pharm. D (6 years), Pharm.D (PB) (3 years), M.Pharm (2 years) in twelve specializations and Ph. D. The college is recognized by Government of Karnataka and approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is accredited to National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.

Admission Procedures

JSS College of Pharmacy accepts admission to students on the basis of an entrance test that depends on the candidate’s performance.

Eligibility

Candidates should be passed two year P.U.C. examination of Karnataka P.U.C. Board or an equivalent examination of any recognized Board/University with minimum 45% marks with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects viz. Mathematics/Biology/Computer Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Technical vocational subject are eligible for the course.

Placement Records

The College offers a comprehensive package of education and training opportunities start with the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs. 

Around 75 percent of the students opt for enrollment into the training and placement and are suitably employed in leading pharma, Ayurveda, biotech companies, Hospitals across the country.

The office of the training and placement is to impart the hands-on training and provide opportunities to the students of Pharmacy, Management, Life Science, Medical, Dental, and Biomedical Sciences.
