About Us

K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research is autonomous business institute which was founded in the year 1981 at Somaiya Vidyavihar East, Ghatkopar East of Mumbai as a part of K. J. Somaiya Trust and Somaiya Vidyavihar with a passion to provide meaningful and perfect professional education to its candidates under the various management courses in the business sector.

It is also cognized as the name of K.J. SIMSR that was inaugurated by former prime minister of India Manmohan Singh. The institute conducts its activities under the direction of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The K. J. SIMSR is situated in the lap of land with sprawling an area of 55 acres.

Programmes and Fees

K. J. SIMSR offers programmes like Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Master of Management Studies, Ph.D. programmes in Management, and Management Development Programmes. It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is approved by AICTE.

Admission procedure

The institute accepts admission on the CAT, XAT, CMAT based scores which depends on the students’ performance. Candidates are shortlisted in the entrance test which called for appearing in the second stage for final admission.
After completion of the final process of admission, they are considered for final admission.

KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Study & Research has a placement cell that consistently in touch with entrepreneurs and recruiters with aims to impart golden job opportunity by a collaboration of a multitude of sectors. The placement cell conducts an internship in summer and winter vacation with intent to make enable to its students on the globally and internationally level which could face the challenge in the field of business in India or abroad.

At least, 175 brand corporates have participated at the college campus in which 90 % of students have been selected with good package.
