Government Polytechnic Nainital was established in the year 1975. It is situated at Sherwani, Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. This college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, New Delhi).

This college is affiliated with the Uttarakhand Technical Education Board, Roorkee, and the Directorate Of Technical Education, Srinagar(Garhwal).  

This college offers courses such as D. Pharmacy and Diploma in  Civil Engineering,  Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Modern office management, etc. It provides various facilities such as Library, Hostel, Canteen, Drinking water, and Wifi campus.
