About Us

Rajkiya Engineering College, Banda (Formerly Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Engineering College of Information Technology: BRAECIT) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2010. It is a Government Engineering college that is situated at Atarra, Banda, Uttar Pradesh 

REC Banda is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

The colleges currently have a pool of thirty-six outstanding faculty members in four academic departments, namely, Applied Science and Humanities, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Department of Information Technology. All faculty members possess either an M.Tech or Ph.D. from institutions of national importance such as IITs/IIITs/NITs and other prestigious universities.

Rajkiya Engineering College Banda provided opportunities for students to go to institutes of national importance like IITs/NITs/NIE Mysuru for training and workshops. GATE coaching classes are provided to final-year students along with regular classes in the evening hours. Employability Skill training is given to third-year students in the evening hours to improve their communication skills and overall personality.
