About Us

Padmanava College of Engineering, Rourkela is also known as PCE was established located in the heart of Rourkela city at Sector 4, Rourkela in the Odisha state on November 14, 1999, under the mentorship of the Padmanva Educational Trust to impart degree courses in engineering.

The college has been set up with the objective to provide quality education on a high standard in engineering curriculums along with to promote in the field of technical education and personality development for people of west Odisha.

It is the premier degree standard private technical institution in the Western region of the State.  It has been endeavoring to contact consistently with the faculty members and the administration to maintain high standards both in academics and personality development.PCE, Rourkela has got affiliation with Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and is approved with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Admission process

The college accepts the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) based admission for Degree Engineering course i.e. B.Tech. After successful completion of all proceeds of the final admission, candidates are considered to admission.

Eligibility

Candidates must have to pass 10+2 examination of Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha or equivalent with Science stream (PCM) with minimum 45% marks for general category candidates, while the candidate who are belonging to SC/ST category, 40% is mandatory as 5% is exempted for these categories candidate.

5% seats are reserved under Tuition Fee Waiver for those candidates whose parents annual income is less than Rs.4.50 lakh.

The faculty are having a very great depth of knowledge and their teaching methodology is far good and it’s makes us very easy to grasp the particular subject. Placement wise it’s great,as there are many off-campuses rather than on campus.But anyway that’s also great for a B.tech graduate as,he/she is getting the scope to appear for the job part which is ain’t the case with other B.tech colleges in Odisha. Now this is the best part of mine the sports🤘👍👏.We participated in University Cricket Tournament in all the years and I got the chance to represent PCE in University Badminton Tournamnent in Burla.There are also many in house tournaments too and for a sports lover it’s like a heaven for them.

Best place to start with basics, but need to improve the infrastructure to industry standards as the passed out students end up spending high amounts in extra courses before getting a proper job. Labs and syllabus needs to be improved to make it job ready. Also the placement cell should be focusing on internship opportunities, workshops, course training, etc, which will boost students to be industry ready. Proper mentors should be assigned for group of students, to nurture and develop them in all aspects, from studying to internship to placements.

I have completed done my BTech in EEE, and I can say you will get the best faculties for Electrical subjects in this institution. Teachers are punctual ,sincere and knowledgeable. 10years ago, college Infrastructure was not as compared to other colleges in Odisha. But Education wise I will give 5star.
