About Us

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) is a public B-school which was established in 1961, laid by the Govt. of India for Management studies & Research.

IIMC is located at Joka, Kolkata in the West Bengal state as India’s pioneer national institute for the Post-Graduate studies and Research in Management by the Government of India with collaboration of the Government of West Bengal.       

It has been developed rapidly as a full-fledged management institution later with the global reputation. The IIMC was established with intent to deliver world class level professional education to candidates in the field of management whereby candidates could build their grand career after completion of the MBA studies

Currently, IIMC is offering Post Graduate and Doctoral level programs, Executive Training Programs, Research, and Consulting Activities.

At the present, it is recognized as a leading management school in the Asia-Pacific region for its oriented teaching and research. IIMC is the single institute of India who has got triple accreditation. It is accredited with AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.

Ranking

 IIM Calcutta goes up 3rd place in Management Rankings by NIRF ranking 2022.

Admission in IIMC to candidates for PG Program is completed through CAT Exam  or GMAT. Application for PGPEX-VLM Batch 13 (2022-23) to be released shortly.

Placement Records

Often, IIMC has been seen retaining own crown in terms of educational quality and final placement records. However, the lateral placement in the campus is intended the candidates with prior work experience before joining IIM Calcutta’s Post Graduate Program. In the previous year, 100% candidates were selected in the Top companies.
