About Us

Government College Of Engineering & Ceramic Technology Kolkata was founded in the year 1941 by Professor Sasadhar Ray who was an eminent educationist and the first Principal of the college. It is located at 73, Abinash Chandra Banerjee Lane, Kolkata.

It is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, and is also accredited with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC 'A' Grade).

The college provides facilities available a Hostel, Central Library, Central Computer Centre, Computer Laboratory, Ceramic Technology Laboratory, Workshop, Library, Girls’ common room, Auditorium, and Placement Cell. GCECT Kolkata offers B.Tech and M.Tech courses like Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, and Ceramic Engineering and Technology.
