About Us

Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research, New Delhi is known as DIPSAR, New Delhi is a renowned and premier Pharmacy University of the country which was founded in the year 1964 as Department of Pharmacy of Delhi Polytechnic and later renamed it as Delhi College of Engineering, now it runs as Delhi Technological University and was located in Kashmiri Gate, Delhi. 
In 1972, it was converted into the College of Pharmacy and shifted to the campus of the Pusa Institute.

Finally, in 1979 it moved to its present campus in Pushp Vihar. In 2004 it was named as Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research which has got affiliation with Delhi Science and Pharmaceutical Research University, University of Delhi. It was ranked 19 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) pharmacy ranking of 2018.

The University is recognized by Under Grants Commission (UGC). National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited D.Pharm. B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. at DIPSAR, the constituent college of the University. 
There are various courses in the university those are approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI); All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (DCPOT).

Programs

At present, the university offers several courses like D. Pharm. B. Pharm. M. Pharm. (Cosmeceutics, Drug Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmacognosy, Quality Assurance, Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacy); MBA (Pharmaceutical Management); MPH (Master of Public Health) and MHM (Master of Hospital Management).

Admission Process

DIPSAR​ conducts admission through the online process on the basis of Entrance Exam which depends on the candidate’s performance. After concluding of the entrance test, successful candidates are invited for final admission process and finally, they are considered for final admission. Check admission notice.

Eligibility

All those looking for B.Pharm / D.Pharm admission candidates must have done 12th with English as one of the compulsory subjects with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and/or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects with minimum 55%* marks in aggregate from any Recognized Schools in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Placement Records

DPSRU has set up an excellent Training and placement cell for the recruitment activities to fulfill the needs of the students. The cell set up the relationship between students and association which participate at the campus. The cell provides job opportunity to its candidates by the collaboration of recruiters. placement record has reached up to 100% in 2017 those are functioning in National & Multinational companies at all levels including undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D. & Diploma students.
