NID DAT 2020: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is a national level entrance exam which is conducted by the National Institute of Design every year with an objective to determine talent to students for admission into Bachelor of Design/ Graduate Diploma Programme in Design and Master of Design courses.
The entrance exam is taken at the various exam centres in the different cities across the country.

Candidates have to need to register their application form correctly with required details for the DAT 2020 exam by online mode through the official website of the National Institute of Design- admissions.nid.edu. Candidates will be not allowed to enter the examination hall who has not registered their application form. Candidates also need to pay as application fee by online or offline mode within the scheduled date of registration which will vary according to genders and categories.
Design Aptitude Test is conducted by the national institute of design for admission to designing courses. Candidates are mandatory to appear in the exam because they are selected on the performance of the qualifying exam of the DAT entrance exam.
Selected candidates are called with the view to appear in the studio test and personal interviews.
Eventually, they are considered to admission at the various NID’s prestigious colleges across India.
For B.Des/GDPD courses, candidates are mandatory the maximum age of 20 years while a maximum age of 30 years are needed to candidates for Master of Designing course. Reserved categories candidate will be provided exemption as per the government of India rules.
DAT examination will be held on Pen and Paper-based comprising of subjective and objective questions with 100 marks for 3 hours for separately two papers- Prelims and Mains exams.

Ans.In General, eligibility criteria for NID DAT 2020 have been divided into two groups as Age limit and Educational Qualification.
For general Students – If he/she was born on or after 1 July 2000 is eligible to apply for admission.
For Reserved Category Students including OBC-NCL, SC, and ST – The applicant was born on or after July 1997 is eligible to apply.
