Witness in Asaram case dies, hunt on for attacker

Bareilly (UP): A secret witness related rape case against self-styled Asaram Bapu , who was shot at by unidentified attacker in Shahjahanpur district, give in to injuries, the third witness 38-years old name of Kripal Singh died in case of shot at by two motorcycle-borne persons in Puwayan area in Shahjahanpur that is related to rape case when he was moving home from the market on Friday at night., police informed on Sunday. Before escaping, the twosome warned him against disposed against Asaram. Singh, who had continuously serious by bullet attack, was rushed from Shahjahanpur to a Bareilly hospital.  Special police squad has been constituted to track down the attacker, Bareilly Circle Officer Mukul Dwivedi said. Police said Singh was an employee of a transport firm, whose owner ' s daughter had lodged a case against 74-year-old Asaram for allegedly sexually assaulting her at his ashram near Jodhpur in Rajasthan in 2013. Singh was a secret witness and his statement in the case against Asaram had been recorded some three months ago. Asaram has been in a jail in Jodhpur since September 2013. After Two months, he, along with his son Narayan Sai, was booked for the alleged rape of two sisters at their ashram in Gujarat ' s Surat. In the last attack against Asaram ' s witness, his cook was shot dead in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh in January. 9 witnesses have been attacked so far and two have died earlier.
