Snapdeal to end Aamir Khan's contract as brand ambassador

New Delhi :-Snapdeal has decided not to contract with Bollywood actor AamirKhan for renew as its brand ambassador within months of the Khan’s intolerance comments in the country that made him and the e-commerce huge  aim of severe criticism.
A Snapdeal spokesperson said: “We would not like to comment on this.”The actor was also not available for comments. Almost Three months ago, the Bollywood actor had made controversial comments on alleged intolerance in the country that enhanced criticism from many quarters. After this event, Khan had decided along with his wife Kiran Rao and child to move out of the country. As his wife was feared for the safety of along with her child in a climate of insecurity. Snapdeal had distanced itself from the remark, saying the comments made by the actor were “in his personal capacity” and it was in no way connected with them. In January, Khan ceased to be the ambassador for the government’s ‘Incredible India’ tourism campaign. Actors Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra replaced Khan as the brand ambassadors for the campaign. Currently, Snapdeal is not looking at replacing Khan with another celebrity, the sources said.
