NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav and the Congress Party on Sunday evening declared their tie-up for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections 2017 at a joint press conference in Lucknow. The declaration came after the two sides reached an understanding regarding seat division this morning.
According to the sources in the congress, the parties have split the difference to agree on the Congress getting six more seats than the 99 seats offered yesterday by the Samajwadi Party.
