Rio Olympics 2016: PV Sindhu a win away from another medal for India

NEW DELHI: The 23-year-old  became only the fourth woman athlete from India to win an Olympic medal. Recently, Karnam Malleshwari (2000, Sydney), boxer MC Mary Kom (2012, London) and shuttler Saina Nehwal (2012, London) have won the medals.
After Sakshi Malik , It is hoped that PV Sindhu will get another medal for the ongoing Rio Olympics 2016.After Kidambi Srikanth, Sindhu is now the lone medal hope in Badminton for India. PV Sindhu, the girl from Hyderabad became the first ever Indian women ' s singles player to win a medal at the World competition. Rio Games will be Sindhu’s first Olympic appearance and she will try to leave a mark in the games. In 2014 Asian and Commonwealth Games she won bronze medals in team events. In January, Sindhu won the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold women’s singles title after beating Scotland ' s Kirsty Gilmour in the finals.
