NEW DELHI: Ram Navami 2018 known as Chaitra Ram Navami is being celebrated on March 25, Sunday with a huge curiosity in Northern India. The festival is celebrated on the occasion of birth anniversary of Lord Rama, who is known to be the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. Ram Navami is being celebrated on the ninth day of the Shukhla Paksha every year in the Hindu calendar month of Chaitra.
Some devotees take fast during the nine days of the festival. Some offer food to Goddess Durga to show their devotion. Hindus worship Goddess Durga including her all forms till nine days and nine nights. In India, Chaitra Navratri is known as Vasant Navratri is celebrated with full energy. A large number of devotees worship different avatars of Goddess Durga across the country by observing a fast and seek blessings from Lord Rama and Mahagauri. People also visit temples, where miniature idols of Lord Rama are bathed and clothed.
