Rajya Rani Express derailment: Meerut-Lucknow Express derails near Rampur In UP today

NEW DELHI: According to railway official report, Meerut-Lucknow Rajya Rani Express on Saturday derails with eight bogies between Mundapandey and Rampur railway stations in Uttar Pradesh in which around two passengers have been injured. The accident happened between Mundapandey and Rampur railway stations, Northern railway spokesperson Neeraj Sharma said. Northern railway spokesperson Neeraj Sharma said, while two passengers have been injured, there was no casualty in the accident.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu ordered to investigate for exact causes behind the accident. He also said that strict action will be taken against offender. Moradabad Divisional Railway Manager has reached the accident site to look over the rescue and relief operations. A medical team has also reached on accident place, Mr Sharma said. According to police officials(Rampur), more than 13 passengers were injured which have been sent to hospital for treatment.
