PM Narendra Modi launches 'Saubhagya - Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Yojana'

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on Monday, September 25 launched a
' Saubhagya - Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana ' which has aim to impart electric facilities to every rural and urban household, which will be complete till 31 March 2019.
The government will spend Rs 16,320 crore on “Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Yojana”. Out of the total purview budget, Rs. 12,320 will be allocated from the budget.
PM announced the scheme after the ending of BJP’s National Executive meeting. The meeting was held on the birth anniversary of BJP ideologue Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay
Under the “Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Yojana” scheme, government is making a plan to electrify every corner of India’s household before 2019 elections.
According to report, more than 4 crore household will be benefitted from the scheme.
Those people who are suffering from poverty, free electricity connection will be given them under the scheme. Those who are not on the list will be charged Rs 500 for the connection which will be paid in 10 easy installments.
