New Delhi: According to report, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is against the lawmakers ' decision seeking agreeing from Prime Minister Office for a 100% pay increments in their salary.
Noteworthy, a recommendation by Parliamentary panel is awaiting nod from Prime Minister ' s Office for a 100% pay increment in MPs ' salary.
According to report, PM Narendra Modi is against the lawmakers deciding their own pay along with allowances.
PM Modi has supported linking salary growth for MPs with increments for people holding other posts, like the President and Vice-President or Cabinet Secretary.
The panel has recommended doubling the constituency allowance and secretarial assistance allowance from Rs 45,000 to Rs 90,000 per month.
Moreover, even the furniture allowance may go up to a substantial Rs 1,50,000.
The parliamentary panel also recommended that all MPs be given a broadband BSNL connection for Rs 1,700 per month.
