NEET 2019: More than 15 lakh aspirants have applied for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 which exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 5, 2019. The Entrance Test will be conducted for admission to the Medical Course in the country and abroad. This year, NTA has needed at least 3,000 exam centres to conduct this exam as two lakh increased applications than the previous year have been received by NTA this year.
The Entrance Test is crucial as well as also mandatory for admission to medical courses in medical college because without appearing in the test, admission to aspirants will be not accepted by any medical college for medical curriculum. The government has made it compulsory for Indian aspirants to take part in the NEET.
According to reports, last year, a total number of 13 lakh aspirants appeared for NEET.
Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) used to conduct this exam but at the present, now NTA has been given this responsibility which is a newly formed body by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
