Navdurga festival 2017: Devotees celebrate Chandraghanta festival across the India today

NEW DELHI : There are nine form of Mata Durga that is known as several names like Maa Bhagwati, Vaishnow Devi. The nine form of Durga is also called Navdurga. It is the great festival for Hindus which comes once in every year. This year , the Goddess Durga festival begins in the month of September 21. The  first form of Navdurga as Goddess Shailputri was worshipped by  all devotees on September 21,2017 across the India. It will be end on September 30, 2017. On the occasion of this festival, a huge number of devotees reach every day at Goddess Durga temple  till nine days and worship it to demanding bless as happily life, prosperity, healthy including love and affection to each other. Many of people worship it on their house which are unable to depart at temple by any causes.
On third day of Navratri, The third form of Maa Durga, Goddess Chandraghanta is being worship on 23 September 2017 ( Saturday) by devotees with a huge curiosity. Chandra-Ghanta, means "one who has a half-moon shaped like a bell". It is believed that she rewards people with her grace, bravery, courage and end their sufferings and distresses. She get married with the God Shiva. After getting married to Lord Shiva Goddess Mahagauri started beautify her forehead with half Chandra and due to which Goddess Parvati was known as Goddess Chandraghanta. This form of Goddess Parvati is peaceful and for welfare of her devotees. In this form Goddess Chandraghanta is ready for the war with all her weapons to destruction the enemies. It is believed that the sound of the moon-bell on her forehead expel all type of spirits away from her devotees. Maa Chandraghanta rides on the tigress. She posses Chandra on her forehead. The half-moon on her forehead looks like the bell/Ghanta. This is why, she is known as Chandra-Ghanta. She has ten hands and carries Trishul, Gada, Sword and Kamandal in her four left hands and keeps the fifth left hand in Varada Mudra. Devotees offer milk or Kheer on the third day of Navratra. Mantra: Om Devi Chandraghantayai Namah॥ Stuti : Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu Maa Chandraghanta Rupena Samsthita। Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namah॥
