Nation pays homage 'missile man' APJ Kalam on 3rd death anniversary today

NEW DELHI: The people of the nation on July 27 (Friday) paid tribute to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his third death anniversary that is obviously known as the ' Missile Man of India ' . He was the 11th president of India. Former and late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam known as full name Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931 in Tamil Nadu ' s Rameswaram who died on July 27,2015 in shillong’s Indian Institute of Management (IIM) due to cardiac arrest, when he was giving a lecture. Kalam had served India as the President between 2002 and 2007.
APJ Kalam had written several books for the nation including India 2020: A Vision for the New Millennium, Wings of Fire: An Autobiography, Ignited Minds: Unleashing the Power within India, Mission of India: A Vision of Indian Youth and also inspired to countless people of the nation through his philosophy of ' simple living and high thinking ' . As a fabulous scientist, educationist, author, visionary, philanthropist and orator, Abdul Kalam donned several hats in his life. Known as the ' missile man ' APJ Kalam, played a crucial role in the 1998 Pokhran-II nuclear tests. He was also associated with India ' s space program and missile development program. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu in 1917 in the memory and honour of the late president. He was honoured with several prestigious awards including India ' s highest civilian honour "Bharat Ratna" in 1997. Indian youth including children loved much too late president as he was most popular among them. He also loved them and inspired both the children and youth to think big in life. He also inspired them to follow high thinking and simple living.
