Punjab: Suspected terrorists wearing Army uniforms opened hearth at a bus and attacked a Police station in Gurdaspur district too soon weekday killing a minimum of 5 persons.
The assailants came during an automobile and that they 1st opened hearth at a moving bus that was returning to Punjab side from Jammu and Kashmir on the Amaritsar-Pathankot route. Four passengers were injured in it, who have been hospitalised, SSP Gurdaspur Gurpreet Singh aforesaid.
The attackers, who were carrying Army uniform, then entered the
Dinanagar police station and conjointly opened hearth at the police personnel. 3 persons were injured there together with Dinanagar SHO Mukhtiar Singh, he said.
The two side’s area unit latched during a significant exchange of fireside, many hours once the incident, he added.
The gunmen area unit heavily armed and area unit carrying automatic weapons with them, aforesaid TV reports quoting sources. So far, no cluster has taken responsibility of the attack. Police has redoubled the protection and also the space has been enclosed.
