Jammu parties began unscheduled dharna over AIIMS demanding the setting up of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jammu on Friday.
Abhinav Sharma who is president of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar association said on Friday that insisted their demand for an All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jammu, the AIIMS coordination committee supported by the members from other civil society groups today started its unscheduled dharna here today.
The Coordination Committee began unscheduled dharna which is supported by Congress Party in front of Maharaja Hari Singh at Tawi Bridge on Friday morning.
According to Sharma the collection of group around more than 70 social, religious, political and business organisations in Jammu, was established to demand an AIIMS in the region.
Sharma said,The group, a collection of more than 70 social, religious, political and business organisations in Jammu, was established to demand an AIIMS in the region, Sharma said. The unscheduled dharna will be continue up to completing the demand by the Central and State both governments.
There has been continuous injustice with the people of Jammu and the issue of shifting of AIIMS from J&K is a glaring example of that injustice, the people here are resolved not to tolerate this injustice anymore, Sharma added.
