India inks with Israel for advanced missile defence systems

NEW DELHI: Israel has inked with India on around USD two billion deals to supply advanced missile defence systems. In this contact, military ties have been strong more than more. It is understood that this agreement is a largest in Israel’s defence industries’ history. In a contract cost over USD 1.6 billion, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) will give advanced medium-range surface-to-air missile systems to the Indian Army.
According to IAI, it would also supply additional long-range air and missile defence systems for the first locally produced Indian aircraft carrier, the company said in a statement on Thursday, describing the deal the largest in Israel’s defence industries’ history. The contract is worth 1.6 billion USD for IAI, with the rest going to another state-owned defence company, Rafael that will imparting components for the systems.
