Dussehra celebration in India today, PM Narendra Modi greets nation

New Delhi: In India, people are celebrating Dussehra (Vijayadasami) festival today with happily. It is a great festival for Hindu religion in India.
As the festival of Vijaya Dashmi is being celebrated with religious enthusiasm across the country on Tuesday marking the victory of good over evil.
God Sri Rama had returned with his wife Sita from Lanka to Ayodhya this day to defeating Ravan in battle who was the king of Lanka. . Thus, Sri Ram had got victory on Ravan. This is why; Dussehra is also known as Vijayadasami from that day.
PM Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee both of them have greeted the people on the Dussehra festival.
In his message, President Pranab Mukherjee appealed to the people to resolve to follow the path of moral and ethical rectitude which has guided for centuries.
Vice President M Hamid Ansari expressed hope that the festival will bring peace, harmony, and prosperity in the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the nation.
