DRI recovered gold at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Hyderabad: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence on Saturday (June 11) seized around 3.26 kg of gold value at Rs 97 lakh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Shamshabad in Hyderabad.
Based on specific intelligence, officers of DRI Hyderabad Zonal unit forbid a passenger along with a ground handling staff at the airport and seized around 28 gold bars weighing of 3.26 kg from them, a DRI release said. The passenger had arrived from Dubai and was handing the gold over to the ground handling staff for taking it out of the airport, it said, adding further investigations are continuing .
