Class 12th students stab teacher to death in Nangloi government school

DELHI: 50-years-old Mukesh Kumar who was PGT teacher of West Delhi government school and teaches Hindi allegedly stabbed to death by two class 12th students in Nangloi. On Tuesday, a group of teachers collected outside the school and began to demand for strict action against the accused.
The teachers of this school also demanded a compensation for the kin of the deceased along with quick investigation in the matter. Rajbeer who is senior vice president of government school association said, “This incident has happened with a very nice person; he was a very hard working teacher. All of us expressed very regret over this incident. And we demand that the government gives the kin of the deceased at Rs 5 crore as compensation and his children government jobs. We also demand that those students be punished.” Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has announced at Rs 1 crore as a financial assistance to Kumar’s family. The incident was reported from Government Boys Senior Secondary School in West Delhi’s Nangloi area. According to the police report, the teacher, Kumar was allegedly stabbed by two students in front of other students, when he rusticated one of them for low attendance. Kumar received stab wounds in his abdomen, thigh and waist. After stabbing the teacher, the two of them students ran away. Other students informed school authorities, following which police was called. Prem Prakash, a teacher from the school, told The Indian Express Kumar was lying in a pool of blood. “We immediately sent him to the hospital. He never thought of such thing would happen to him.” Kumar, was being treated at Balaji Action Hospital, before he succumbed to his injuries this morning. According to reports, the police has identified the two boys(accused) and detained them.
