Children’s day 2017: Nation pays tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary today

NEW DELHI : Nation on Tuesday, November 14 paid tribute former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on the occasion of his 128th birth anniversary. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of the freedom India.
Former President Pranab Mukherjee and Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also paid tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at his memorial Shanti Van in New Delhi at morning today. Born in Allahabad in 1889, Pandit Nehru was a favourite amongst children, which is why his birth anniversary is celebrated as Children’s Day in India. Children were called him Chacha. So, he is also known as Chacha Nehru.
