CBSE NEET 2017: Madras HC directs TN govt to conduct medical admissions


NEW DELHI: The Madras High Court on Monday, July 31 supported the single-judge order that cancels Tamil Nadu government’s order allowing 85 per cent reservation for state board students in the National Entrance Cum Eligibility Test (NEET). But, at the present time, The Madras HC has directed the state government to conduct medical admissions as soon as possible.

Earlier, the Madras High Court on July 14 had canceled a Tamil Nadu government order for reserving 85 per cent of MBBS and BDS seats to state board students and only 15 percent for CBSE and other boards, holding that it amounted to discrimination among equals.
