DELHI: An 11-seater Ranchi-bound twin-engine Super King B-200 carrying BSF Deputy commandant named Bhagwati Prasad Bhatt crashed between 9:40 am near Dwarka and burst into flames just outside Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The BSF plane that crashed near the Delhi airport on Tuesday in which Deputy commandant named 38 years old Bhagwati Prasad Bhatt pilot of jet killed with all 10 peoples on board, before naming his month-old son in a few days.
Beechcraft Super King plane suddenly took a kind of U-turn towards the airport after taking off at 9.37 am hit a tree while apparently approaching to land following a possible technical problem, according to Air traffic control report.
Sub-inspector Rabindra Kumar, also on board, was never meant to be on that plane. Tuesday’s tragic crash not only cut their lives short, it left their families wondering at the unfairness of it all.
“The older one, aged four, has seen his father but the younger one will have to grow up without one. Life has been unfair. We do not know what to say,” said Bhatt’s older brother, Rajender Bhatt.
Blessed with a new baby, 38-year-old Bhatt, a resident of Sarojini Nagar, was a happy man who took pride in his job, his social media interactions revealed.
