Bomb attack on Mughal quarter of Dhaka in Bangladesh; 1 killed,80 injured

Bangladesh:At least one person was died while more than 80 people were Injured on Saturday in a bomb attack outside the main Shiite site in the capital of Bangladesh where around thousands people gathered for the annual Ashura procession, police said. According to Police, it was hoped to be first time Bangladesh’s tiny Shiite Muslim community has been targeted and came just weeks after an Italian aid worker and a Japanese farmer were shot dead in attacks by Islamic State group. Three small bombs were thrown outside the Hossaini Dalan, the main Shiite site in the old Mughal quarter of Dhaka, at about 2:00 am Saturday in which 14 years old boy killed on the spot. “There were present 20,000 people in and outside the building at that time. They were preparing to hold the annual Muharram procession when the three bombs were blasted outside the Hossaini Dalan,” deputy commissioner of Dhaka Police Mofiz Uddin Ahmed said. Police inspector Mozammel Hoque said that most of the injured were attack by bomb splinters but those are in good condition. “Some 50 were brought to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
