Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati resigns from Rajya Sabha today

NEW DELHI: Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Tuesday July 18 resigned from the Rajaya Sabha. She has submitted a 3-page letter to the chairman of the Rajya Sabha. After her resignation, Mayawati said to blaming the ruling party (BJP) during to talking with reporters that it is good for her to quit the Upper House as the ruling party BJP does not allow her to speak on the issues related to Dalits.
BSP chief said she represents the Dalit community and if she cannot raise the issues in the House, it’s is pointless to continue as a member. According to sources, her resignation will not be granted as the standard resignation letter should be written in a single line.
