Auto Expo 2016: Honda NAVI Mini Bike Launched; Priced at 39,500

Honda NAVI, between scooter and bike has been launched in India on the first day of 2016 Auto Expo, Priced at 39,500 in ex-showroom, Delhi.
The seating position is more like a bike, there is enough space for storage near the engine and wheels in front as well as rear are small like seen in scooters. it is small gauging just 1805mm long, 748mm wide and 1039mm high. Just like Activa, Honda has fitted telescopic forks in front and spring hydraulic type at rear for shock absorption. For power retardation, Honda has employed drum brakes all around. Rolled out in three variants namely Street, Adventure and off-road, the bike is available in five colour options-Patriot Red, Hooper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange and Black. Power will come from the 110cc, single cylinder, four stroke SI engine generating 5.84Kw and 9Nm that serves in Honda ' s flagship model Activa. With a ground clearance of 156mm and weight gauging 101kg, the bike is adept at taking up any road in India. Honda NAVI is among the six new models that have been designed at company ' s R & D unit in India. Honda is offering a number of customisation options on NAVI giving an opportunity to customers to make additions to the bike as per their requirement and liking. With the new models slated to be launched this year, Honda aims to sell 50 lakh units this year. This would mean intensified production of the products and with operations beginning at its fourth manufacturing unit in Gujarat from February 17, 2016, Honda looks all geared up to meet its goal. Besides NAVI, the company is planning to get five new models in India by the end of this year. While bookings for NAVI have started effective February 3, 2016, Honda will commence deliveries from April.
