Arunachal Pradesh’s ex- chief minister Kalikho Pul found dead today

ITANAGAR: Former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister and Congress rebel Kalikho Pul was found dead at his residence on Tuesday.
According to police report, Pul, 47-years-old, allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his bedroom. He was found dead at the chief minister ' s official residence. One of his three wives found him hanging this morning. He is survived by three wives and four children. Reason of the death were still not clear. Born in July 20, 1969 to Tailum Pul and Koranlu Pul at Walla Village under Hawai circle of Anjaw district, Kalikho did his graduation in humanities from Indira Gandhi Government College at Tezu in Lohit district. Representing Hayuliang Assembly constituency, Pul had the distinction of being the longest serving Finance Minister of the state under various chief ministers including Gegong Apang, Mukut Mithi and Late Dorjee Khandu. Pul, who took over the resigns of the state on February 19 this year, served as Chief Minister for a brief time with the Supreme Court in July reinstating Nabam Tuki, who then made way for Pema Khandu as the 10th Chief Minister. Pul hails from a border village in remote Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh bordering China, trekked a long way in his political career to became the eighth chief minister of the state.
