AIPMT: CBSE to install obstacle to inquiry cheating

NEW DELHI: The
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is installing obstacles to inquiry use of communication sources at examination centers as part its attempt to ensure no unfair means during the All India Pre-medical or Pre-dental Entrance Test on Saturday.
Use of mobile phones has been cleared inside the centers and extensive
arrangements for frisking candidates before the examination have been put in place as the better.
The
CBSE has cleared candidates from carrying wallets, goggles, hair pins, hair bands, rings, bracelets, earrings, noses-pin as well as water bottles. The candidates have been asked to wear slippers and not shoes.
According to report, the candidates would be investigated for Bluetooth devices and have been asked to wear T-shirts and light clothes. Sandals and jackets have been prohibited during at the examination centers.
CBSE officials said they were exploring electronic gadgets used for unfair means. Chairman of
CBSE Satbir Bedi said,”We are not taking any chances. The gadgets shown to us have shocked us. There are such tiny communication devices which cannot be easily detected. "There are microphones which can be concealed very easily. And these devices are easily available for purchase on the online shopping portals like
Flipkart and Amazon in Mobile market."
The CBSE, which has expense around at Rs 38 crore for the retest, has
issued admit cards to around 6.3 lakh students with a list of dos and don ' ts.
The students have been asked to report in advance for compulsory frisking while 46 students have been debarred from appearing in the test for indulging in unfair practices in the May 3 test.
