Agricultural University bus falls in deep gorge in Maharashtra, 33 killed

A bus carrying employees of an agricultural university on July 28, Saturday falls in the deep gorge in Maharashtra ' s Raigad district which depth is 500 feet beneath from the mountain, in which 33 employees were lost their lives while only one person has survived their life in the accident.
All of them were travelling in a bus who were about to get down on a mountain peak on the Mumbai-Goa highway. At least, 11 death bodies have been recovered from the accident area.
National Disaster Response Force Commandant (NDRFC) Anupam Srivastava stated, "We have recovered around 33 death bodies while only one person has survived their life in the accident”.
State minister Vinod Tawde instructed officers through tweeter to visit accident site and begin rescue operation instant.
Accident took place at the western Ghats of the Maharashtra ' s Raigad where heavy rain was being start from past few days. Due to slippery mountain, this road changed into danger.
According to police, all employees of Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth were sent to Mahabaleshwar for a weekend picnic.
The only survivor of the crash managed to climb up the road and alert the police, after which rescuers reached the area. A team of the National Disaster Response Force from Pune is involved in search and rescue operations.
Several politicians have expressed regret on the tragedy accident. Congress president
Congress President Rahul Gandhi tweeted to party workers to provide all possible assistance to the injured and families of those who have lost lives. While, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted on the tragedy accident in which employees were lost their life in the bus accident.
