RJD supremo in upset! Lalu Yadav notice by SC in fodder scam

New Delhi :-In a major development in fodder scam, the Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to RJD big gun Lalu Prasad Yadav on CBI ' s plea against dropping of bound charges in one in all the FIRs by Jharkhand HC.
A special CBI court in Sep 2014 rejected a petition filed by RJD chief Lalu Prasad pleading to quash the RC 38A/96 fodder scam case as he had already been condemned in RC20A/96, the third such petition being laid-off by identical court.
The court of A K Rai rejected the petition filed by Prasad below section 300 of the Code of Criminal Procedure Act and Article 22 of the Constitution, that states that someone once condemned or guiltless to not be tried for identical offence.
The case pertained to fallacious withdrawal of Rs 3.97 crore from the Dumka Treasury.
The same court had earlier laid-off Prasad ' s 2 similar cases. On August 12, it laid-off a petition in reference to 68A/96 fodder scam case concerning alleged fallacious withdrawal of Rs 36 crore from the Chaibasa Treasury throughout the 1993-94 business once Prasad was the chief minister of Bihar.
On July 1, it laid-off a petition in reference to the RC 64A/96 case concerning Rs 96 lakh from the Deogarh Treasury within the 1990s.
On Sep 30 in 2013, Prasad had been condemned and was sentenced to 5 years ' imprisonment on Oct 3 within the RC 20A/96 fodder case concerning fallacious withdrawal of Rs 37.7 croe from the Chaibasa Treasury throughout the 1994-95 business.
