Pickup Van crash into truck in Rajasthan, 30 killed and 16 injured

Rajasthan: Around 18 workers and 12 women died while 16 others deeply injuries when an overloaded pickup van crashed into a stationary truck in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh district on Saturday.
According to the police, the accident occurred in Dholapani area of the district when the workers were returning to their village after work. “The pickup van crashed into a stationary truck leaving 14 people, including 11 women, dead. Four persons succumbed to injuries on way to a hospital in Udaipur,” sub inspector Ratan Lal said. He said that 15 injured person were sent to the hospital in Udaipurfor remidy and one in Pratapgarh. Rajasthan Chief minister Vasundhara Raje announced of Rs 50,000 each for the next of the kin of the deceased. She also announced a financial assistance of Rs 25,000 each for critically injured and Rs 2,500 each for other injured who are not critical.
