PATNA: Nitish Kumar has invited to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 20 for his oath ceremony when the JD(U) leader will take oath as Bihar chief minister after a massive electoral victory over the BJP.
Nitish Kumar requested him to attend the function but it wasn’t known if the PM agreed to appear. According to the sources, the PM congratulated Nitish Kumar for the Grand Alliance’s win in the Bihar polls. The invite comes in the backdrop of a bitter rivalry between the two leaders that has spanned the better part of the past decade. The two leaders of both parties repeatedly locked horns during an acrimonious election campaign but PM Narendra Modi congratulated Kumar after the latter’s Mahagathbandhan routed the BJP, winning 178 seats in the 243-member state assembly. Nitish Kumar’s oath ceremony will be hold at the historic place Gandhi Maidan in the heart of Patna. It is hoped that grand affair and important opposition leaders will to  take part in this  ceremony.
